CHARLES & KEITH’s Spring Summer 2019 Campaign, titled ‘Summer Daze’, is based on the playful optimism of the best time of the year. The collection draws inspiration from the eccentric ‘80s Memphis design aesthetic as it brings the season’s most desirable fashion pieces to life through vibrant colours, quirky graphic patterns and bold shapes.
The campaign’s creative concept was artfully captured as the camera lens followed two young women spending an exquisite summer vacation on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza.
Not afraid to experiment with their style, they explore punchy colour combinations and fresh prints, showing us how to effortlessly take the new CHARLES & KEITH staples from easy breezy daytime looks to sultry, balmy evening ensembles.
Textures play a vital role in this collection and can be seen in the intricately-crafted crochet details; floral embellishments; printed jacquard; gothic-inspired guipure lace; perforation; sequins; laser-cuts; whipstitch trims; and raffia weave patterns. The sky’s the limit when it comes to the use of colours as the collection offers everything from warm neutral tones and colour blocking to upbeat pastel hues and brilliant golds.
